Zune and Vista Incompatible for Now
Microsoft’s newly released Zune music player is incompatible with the company’s forthcoming operating system, Windows Vista, the software firm has acknowledged.
Vista was released to PC makers recently, and is due to be available for business customers by the end of November and for consumers by the end of January.
Beta users who have tried to install Zune’s software on Vista reported that they are getting messages from the system saying that Zune is not supported. Microsoft has assured customers that there will be compatibility between the device and Vista when the consumer version of the OS begins shipping.
