New Toy for the New Year…
Can’t afford a Nintendo Wii… so we have to settle with Broadcast Machine. Haha. Nope. I am just joking.

a sample Broadcast Machine site
In the midst of a Internet TV movement, Participatory Culture group has released their first beta of Broadcast Machine. Broadcast Machine is an integrated upload, download, bittorrent, and gallery web application that is simple to install and run, letting you upload your own video shows and share them with anyone online.
Got to know about this new application from Jerry. We are trying it on a site and see. Will annouce the site later after we play around with it. It is still a beta test…
Basically, Broadcast Machine will generate RSS feeds (or channels) for all your podcasts and it also help to generate Torrent seeds of those podcasts so that sharing of those content can be more efficient. So podcast feed readers such as iTunes or Democracy Player will be able to download and store the podcast on the computer. Once downloaded, people can also put those podcasts on their little iPods or other multimedia players. This is the new revolution man! With new stuff such as TiVo and other hardware recorder TV services, it seems that scheduled screening is slowly being pushed aside. Web streamers… time to change?
