A five-hour downpour on Sunday night has caused havoc in the city… my brother was stucked at a Putra LRT station due to the flash flood. The announcement happened after he bought the ticket and after he passed the barrier. He was quite pissed. I undestand… The LRT should had stopped the ticket sale or at least informed people that the train is going to be very very late due to the bad weather before the tickets were sold. But it did not happened.
Meanwhile, newly wed PM said that it was a lucky thing that the Putra Plaza basement carpark under Dataran Merdeka acted as a retention pond.
OMG!!! Since when we can use a underground plaza where people use to shop and watch their favourite Hindustan movies as a retention pond? This is even smarter than the Smart Tunnel!!!

better idea, build the world’s biggest underground smart car park below the city. Use it as parking during office hours and as a flood retention pond after 5 pm. Afterall, afternoon thunderstorms only ever happen in KL after 4:30 when the evening rush hour us just starting.
