OMG! OMG! beautiful beautiful pictures. i love the seemingly natural framing in the first two pictures of a bride. the second one contains so many layers of meanings from a semiotic point of view. getting married is like passing through all these arches that lead up to something (whatever it is) at the end of a tunnel (and that’s simply put). of course, i find the composition very classic like that of 18th century (i’m not sure about my period) paintings of women in europe. sorry, im so far out.
i also like the movement in the fourth pic (with the garbage collector). very photojourn.
and i love the mood created by the 6th picture, with the woman in a black dress. this reminds me of a “mood for love” by wong kar wai. sigh…
Great pictures! I mostly love the first 2 pictures. The shots make the bride truly the most beautiful woman in the world. They make weddings look so encouraging..haha.. and i also like the 6th and 9th pics. They look like they’re taken from a movie shoot. Great shots!
Claire, I personally like the 1st two and the Hollywood Video Club. Yes, the life of a marriage is not as magical as it seems in movies and wedding photos, most of the time.
And Ela, you’re right… wedding photos… the bride is always the most beautiful.
Jerry, Jue probably didn’t know that I took that picture.
Jeffrey,
Gan,
gan!

Claire, the lady in black in the 6th pic is Jue.
in the mood for love.

Sam, Vivien didn’t know either… But she will~~
p.s. I probably was scratching my face in the 6th…hehehe… but I looked pretty moody right Claire?
我喜歡no 5 & 6.
6:jue
photography is inherently voyeuristic, to paraphrase susan sontag.
sam, you’re the voyeur
Voyeur sounds like a negative word…
it’s contextual…
it’s sexual too.
heh heh heh…
sorry… that was me talking…
sam, it depends on the context.
the very idea that you use another artificial eye to observe the world makes that interesting.
Sam,
