Lord where’s the Can Opener?
It is Sunday in Stuland. The autumn breeze brought much relief to the faces of the Stulanders after the long hot summer. Sunny but cool, some spotted lying on the grass enjoying the comfort of the green carpet of autumn grass. Some sit around Loch Stu, gazing at the the calm water, occasionally disturbed by fishes surfacing for some fresh autumn air.
With Bilbo, Frudo, Merry and Pippin out of Stuland. Poor Sam was left in the empty snuggery, alone and hungry. But the fatherly Bilbo was very thoughtful. He had left some pasta and sourcesauce for Sam.
The time had come and Sam was hungry. So to the kitchen he went. He took out a pot, a pan, some pasta and a can of sourcesauce, but he couldn’t find a can opener.
There are only two places that Sam could think of in order to get a can opener. One is the blacksmith shop across the grassland beyond Loch Stu. And the other one is the wizardry joint located in the House of Numbers.
The quest of the can opener started without delay as hunger struck. Sam put on his cape and left the snuggery with his pikestaff. He then walked past Loch Stu and the grassland. He arrived at the blacksmith only to find there is no such thing as a can opener in the shop. Disappointed, Sam hiked to the wizardry joint in the House of Numbers.
The journey to the wizardry joint was less pleasant as the House of Numbers is built among the dwellings of the Stulanders. There was no Loch Stu nor breezy grassland. Upon entering the wizardry joint, Sam asked for the can opener without hesitation. To his disappointment, there was no can opener too.
The is no can opener in Stuland! That’s the harsh reality that poor Sam had to endure. So back home he went but he was still determined to cook the pasta.
He took a knife, stabbed the can lid once, then again, again and again. Finally the can was opened and a pasta meal was made.
